Friendship Circle is an organization of ladies in the church who meet on the first Monday of each month from 7:00pm until around 9:00pm. We enjoy great fellowship and good food.
We discuss any needs that arise and pull together to meet them.
Some of our ministries include: Funeral dinners & meals for those who have been in the hospital & have returned home. We provide Bibles or Devotional books for weddings & new babies. We sponsor a Haitian child. We buy decorations for the church for Christmas & changing seasons. We discuss any needs that arise and pull together to meet them.
Our projects have included assembling Hygiene kits for less fortunate countries, breast cancer pillows for the American Cancer Society, making the baptismal robes, made up shoeboxes full of toys for Samaritan's Purse, conduct baby showers for Birth-Right of Richmond, and sponsored a church-wide cookbook of which we still have copies for $8.00 each.
As a group, we have purchased many articles for the church building.
We have a "Spring Fling Luncheon" in May each year. It is open to all ladies and friends. We ask special speakers or entertainers to come and it is always a wonderful time of fellowship.
We do a White Elephant auction along with out Thanksgiving Dinner in November. That is also a real fun time! This is our big money maker used to support everything we do during the year. Brian Longbons is the auctioneer.
At Christmas we have a special dinner and exchange gifts. We do something nice for our college students, ministers, & needy families at this time too.
We welcome all ladies to attend our meetings & special events.
We realize everything we do is by the Grace of God and for His Glory!
